minneapolis-guitar-quartet-masterclass.jpg

The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet will present a free guitar masterclass for amateur classical guitarists and serious classical guitar students Saturday, February 19 at 1 p.m. on the Gaede Stage. Both performers and audiences experience the benefits of private instruction as well as the opportunity to perform in public. This program is wonderful for solo guitarists, guitar ensembles and mixed ensembles. After each performer or group plays for the MGQ and a public audience, MGQ members offer specific instruction about how the performer(s) might improve their performance. This may include tips on: achieving more technical proficiency, developing increased musical understanding of the repertoire, more effectively projecting one’s musical ideas for a more successful and expressive performance, improving communication within an ensemble.

To be considered for the masterclass, please contact Rebecca Sundet-Schoenwald, Managing Director of the Performing Arts Series, at .218.477.2178 by 12 p.m. (noon) on Monday, February 7, 2022.
