Art Education Learning Opportunities
At Minnesota State University Moorhead, we believe the hands-on experience you gain outside of the classroom is just as important as what you learn in it. Get involved by joining one of the many art-related student organizations, live and learn with fellow Art Education majors, or explore the field through volunteerism and service learning.
The MSUM Art Education program provides more than 500 volunteer service hours annually to local organizations and agencies providing support, as well as recreational and therapeutic related programming, for pre-school, school-age, at-risk, elderly, war-involved and adults with exceptionalities in the community.
The Art Education program also has strong partnerships with more than 30 local organizations and agencies, where you’re able to gain field experience through service learning practicums. These practicums often lead to potential employment opportunities.
For more information on volunteer and service learning opportunities, talk with your advisor.
