Studio Art Learning Opportunities
At Minnesota State University Moorhead, we believe the hands-on experience you gain outside of the classroom is just as important as what you learn in it. Get involved by joining one of the many art-related student organizations, live and learn with fellow School of Art majors, or gain experience working in your department.
Are you interested in living and learning with peers who have similar interests as you? The Art & Design Learning Community may be for you. Join this community to strengthen your passion for art, utilize creative collaboration and production skills, build critical analysis abilities and learn from our dedicated, award-winning faculty.
Gain experience in a variety of art fields in the School of Art. Studio technicians, gallery monitors, gallery installation and shop monitors provide experience in arts management and studio management. Internships at local galleries and museums are available. For more information, contact your academic advisor.
Ceramics Guild provides opportunities for you to be involved with ceramic arts regardless of your major. We provide access to clay and facilities for making ceramics, as well as plan community events and field trips.
The Illustration Guild is dedicated to bringing together artists, illustrators and anyone interested in illustration, graphic arts and animation. The goal of this student organization is to help foster the art community at MSUM and improve networking skills.
Works on Paper Guild is a group of artists and non-artists who gather to explore the creative world of printmaking. Participate in an annual print conference, run and organize a student art sale, and more!
