Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Mary Davidow

MSUM alum Mary Davidow (art education '23) is joining the Admissions team at MSUM! As an admissions representative, Mary reaches out to students from southern Minnesota and assists them with their college questions, explaining what MSUM can do for them.

Q: What unique experiences and skills do you bring to MSUM?
A: My people skills and connection to MSUM helps me connect other students to MSUM. Being from Mankato also helps me connect to students in the southern Minnesota area.

Q: What energizes you at work?
A: The people I work with; I'm a big people person. I think everyone in the office brings something unique to the community of the office and makes it a great work family.

Q: If you could only have three apps on your phone, which would you pick?
A: TikTok, I use that one a lot, one of those Candy Crush type games and Hay Day. About once a year, Hay Day takes over my life for a solid month.

Q: If you could pick a superpower, what would you pick?
A: I would pick time travel. With my degree in art education, I think it would be cool to go back to the Renaissance and meet Michelangelo and see the brains of those people in action.

Q: Were there any clubs at MSUM that have helped you in this role?
A: I was a weird student who chose to do jobs over clubs. I was a student orientation leader and a Dragon ambassador. These jobs solidified that I wanted to stay in higher education and opened a lot of doors for me.
