Neil Wohlwend was born on May 12, 1913 in Barnesville, Minnesota, to Charles and Olga (Anderson). Neil’s grandfather was a Civil War Veteran and an early pioneer in the Clay County area. He married Ramona Glasman of Pequot, Minnesota, on January 1, 1939. They had one son, Charles.Neil graduated from Moorhead State College in 1937 and did graduate work at the University of Minnesota.

The Lucy Hayes Union was founded in 1886 and reorganized in 1889. The early records have been lost. The bulk of this collection is dated from 1933 to 1969.

At the time of his election Mr. Corbid was a teacher living in Oklee, Minnesota, having graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.S. degree. Mr. Corbid later owned a resort. Churches United for the Homeless is an extension of the mission of various churches in the Fargo-Moorhead [North Dakota-Minnesota] area. It was established in 1987 to offer spiritual ministry and emotional affirmation to homeless people. It also provides a temporary emergency shelter for the homeless and refers residents to appropriate services such as Job Service, Social Services, Mental Health and AA programs.
