Life long resident of the Glyndon, Minnesota area, Keith Langseth and his wife Lorraine operate a dairy farm in Elkton Township between Glyndon and Barnesville. Langseth, who had served as Clay County DFL Chairman, was elected to the Minnesota State Legislative in 1974 when he unseated Arlan Stangeland. He continued to serve District 9B until 1978 when he failed in his re-election by eleven voters, one of the closest races in the state of Minnesota.
Mr. Eagan was born on December 4, 1943 in Rutland, Vermont. He grew up there in a staunchly Democrat and unionist household, although the community was firmly Republican in political outlook. Eagan attended Castleton Public School and Mt. St. Joseph’s Academy in Rutland.
A native of Rutland, North Dakota, Marvin Evenson was involved in politics from his early 20s, both in both North Dakota and Minnesota. He served as a party organizer for the Democratic Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party in a number of capacities, including Finance Director and chairman for the 9th District of the DFL in Minnesota, and chairman of the DFL party in the 7th District (northwest Minnesota). As party chairman, Evenson coordinated party activities for many DFL candidates.

Diane Wray Williams, owner of a Moorhead business and a member of various city commissions and boards, was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1988.
