The demand for Life Science teachers is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.

Sugar beets have been grown in the Red River Valley since the 1920s. In August 1972, some 300 farmers living in some seven North Dakota and Minnesota counties formed a cooperative. This cooperative, subsequently incorporated as the Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative, allowed the members to diversify their farming operations by adding sugar beets to their crops.

This collection consists mostly of newspaper summaries published in Roseau County located in northern Minnesota. This collection was kept by Earl Chapin, a newspaper editor from that region. A few miscellaneous items are also in the collection including a short history of Roseau County, an article pertaining to the Sioux-French conflict in 1736, and miscellaneous correspondence.

Students may qualify for an exemption to the policy if one or more of the exemption conditions exist. Decisions will be made by Director of Housing and Residential Life, or designee, or referred to the Housing Exemption Review Board. Short-term device loans are for 30 days or less and at no charge. This allows consumers a chance to trial a device or software program before buying. Short-term device loans may also be used to fill in for a device that is being repaired or while waiting for delivery of a newly purchased device.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 32 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations.

The Minnesota State Moorhead Broadcast Journalism program has strong ties to local and regional media, including the local news directors at all of the network-affiliated television stations in Fargo-Moorhead. Professional broadcast journalists teach in the program at Moorhead, so you'll learn firsthand from industry professionals what a career in the field will entail after graduation.

The First Congregational Church of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota was organized in 1872 by the Reverend Hiram N. Gates. Gates was the minister of the Congregational Church in Connecticut when he received a commission from the American Home Missionary Society to establish Congregational churches in settlements along the newly constructed line of the Northern Pacific Railroad in northwestern Minnesota. Before leaving the East, Gates met Colonel George H. Johnston, who, as president of the New England Military and Naval Bureau of Migration, was in the process of establishing a colony at Detroit on lands purchased from the Northern Pacific Railroad Company (the name of the town that was to Detroit Lakes in 1926). Many of the original settlers of the “New England Colony” were Congregationalists, and Johnston convinced Gates to settle there.
