Ken Jaeger, an ’83 community health graduate and 2014 distinguished alumnus, was inspired to help the poor at a young age. His mother, who grew up in El Paso, Texas, took Jaeger over the border to Juarez, Mexico, where poverty was rampant.

Members of the Minnesota State University Moorhead community may exercise their First Amendment rights of free speech on the campus. It was anticipated that such a survey would be 'of inestimable use to the state, counties, cities, and regions in charting a course for historic preservation, recommending legislation needed in this field to the 1979 legislature, and bringing into sharp focus what programs and projects most need the State Historical Society's grant-in-aid program in the future'" (p. 1).

The Agassiz Women’s Political Caucus was organized during the summer of 1982. Its primary purpose is to educate women in political activities so that they may share equally with men in the responsibilities of government at every level. The Caucus also works to recruit, support, and endorse able and qualified women to run for elective office and to serve in positions in government and courts.

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program of The College Board through which a high school student completes college-level courses that are designated as AP in high schools. A student may earn college credits by demonstrating a specified level of performance on AP examinations.

MSUM recognizes the DSST (Dantes) examination, which was originally designed for the military as a way to provide individuals an opportunity to obtain college level credit for what they have learned in nontraditional ways.
