Whenever I walk by the writing on the cornerstone of MacLean Hall, “State Teachers College Founded 1887,” I feel a moment of awe and gratitude for being part of an institution with such a rich history of teacher education, right here, at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
All faculty and staff of Minnesota State Moorhead are employees of the State of Minnesota. Employment positions with the university generally fall into two categories: unclassified (ex: faculty, deans, director of programs, vice presidents) and classified service positions (ex: technical professionals, office and administrative specialists, maintenance workers).

Much of the history of Christ Church, St. Vincent, Kittson County, Minnesota, is not known. However, it is known that construction of the church building began in 1880 and that the first services were held in the church on Christmas Day of the same year. The parish was organized and officially recognized from the Protestant Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota in 1882.
This collection consists of issues of the Non Partisan Leader, the Nation Leader, and The Leader which were published by the Non Partisan League. The collection begins with the first issue of the Non Partisan Leader in 1915 and goes through the last issue of the National Leader in 1923. (The Non Partisan Leader became the National Leader in November of 1921.)
The Moorhead [Minnesota] Federation of Republican Women was founded as a local branch of the National Federation of Republican Women in 1958. In 1968, the Club changed its name to the Moorhead Republican Women’s Club. Its objectives include increasing women’s active political participation, promoting the principles and ideals of the Republican Party, and working for the election of Republican Party nominees.
The First Congregational United Church of Christ, Glyndon, Clay County, Minnesota was formally organized in 1872 as the Church of Glyndon, apparently by Congregationalists. In 1921, the name was changed to the First Congregational Churches until 1963, when it joined the Minnesota Conference of the United Church of Christ and adopted its present name, the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
