Save the date for MSUM’s Practicing Restorative Justice Conference on Wednesday, April 9 (8 am to 5 pm) and Thursday, April 10 (8 am to 1 pm). Hosted by MSUM’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department, the conference will spread knowledge on how restorative justice can be used in our community.

Breakout Session Proposals

Interested in sharing your expertise, experiences, and ideas with attendees? We are looking for a wide range of proposals that align with our conference themes: Justice, Education, Community, or Culture.

Sessions may explore:

  • Applications of restorative justice in schools, juvenile justice, adult corrections, churches, and other community entities
  • Research and evaluation on restorative practices and programs
  • Philosophy and framework of restorative justice
  • Stories from the field, lessons learned, and best practices
  • Cultural perspectives on restorative justice
  • Personal stories of those impacted by restorative practices
