Transfer Student Orientation, Advising & Registration

Transfer students that are new to MSUM will register for classes as part of our Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) process. This process can be done fully online or in person to accommodate your unique needs as a transfer student.

When you register, you are indicating your desire to begin the SOAR process and will be asked to log in with your StarID and Password. If you receive a notification “Wrong User name or password. Use your Star Id credentials”, but are able to access other systems (such as e-Services), please wait 12 – 24 hours as your MSUM student email account is still being created.

After registering for SOAR, you will receive a confirmation email to your personal email account with more information on completing online orientation. Once you have completed online orientation you will be contacted to schedule your academic advising appointment.
