Transfer Student Orientation, Advising & Registration

As a Transfer student that are new to Minnesota State Moorhead will register for classes as part of our Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) process. This process is customized to your unique needs in the Dragon Den.

Once you confirm your enrollment, you will need to do the following in the Dragon Den

  1. Locate the Pre-Advising Checklist under Next Steps
  2. Complete all items on the Pre-Advising Checklist
  3. Once complete, schedule an advising appointment by selecting a day, time and modality that works best for you
    • Please note:
      • The option to schedule your advising appointment will not appear in your Dragon Den until all Pre-Advising Checklist items are completed.
      • Your advisor will assume you have read and understood the information in the Pre-Advising Checklist prior to your appointment.

After your advising appointment, log back into the Dragon Den to complete the Post-Advising Checklist. This ensures you complete all remaining items that are critical to making your enrollment journey a successful one.
