Computer Science & Information Systems Student Agency
Dragon Ember Solutions is a student-run technical agency within the Computer Science & Information Systems (CSIS) Department at Minnesota State Moorhead. We partner with small businesses and non-profit organizations to provide hands-on technical solutions while offering students real-world, project-based learning experiences.
What We Do
Services vary each semester based on the skills and academic backgrounds of our participating student teams. Some services Dragon Ember Solutions may be able to offer include:
- Web & Technical Support: Help with basic website updates, page edits, CMS platform setups (Wix/WordPress), and simple bug troubleshooting.
- Data Migration & Administration: Assist with basic spreadsheet cleanup, data reformatting, and simple report generation.
- IT & Setup: Help with technology inventories, basic network documentation, and hardware/software assessments.
- Cybersecurity & Policy: Review basic security checklists and assist with drafting starter policy documents.
How Partnerships Work
Dragon Ember Solutions operates on a semester-based cycle during the spring term. Client applications open each fall, with selected projects running from ,od-January through early May. Dragon Ember Solutions is a supervised student learning lab, not a professional agency. Participating students are developing entry-level skills, and deliverables are provided strictly on a best-effort, educational basis.
