Student-Centered Education through Mentoring Student Research & Creative Activities
Minnesota State Moorhead’s Andrew B. Conteh Student Showcase provides student with an opportunity to present, perform, and display their work to faculty, administration, peers and the community in a formal academic setting on campus or virtually for fully online programs. The Showcase welcomes submissions from students of all disciplines and programs and provides space for traditional academic panel and poster presentations as well as creative works, business pitches, innovative classroom practices, or performances. From its beginning in 1999 as the Student Academic Conference, the Andrew B. Conteh Student Showcase has grown exponentially and continues to be one of the most anticipated events of the spring semester.

Student Benefits
We encourage all Minnesota State Moorhead students to take part in the Student Showcase, by presenting and attending. As a presenter, you’ll have the opportunity to share your hard work in a variety of ways—panel discussions, performances, displays and demonstrations—and gather constructive feedback to help you better analyze and continue exploration. If you aren’t presenting but still want to be involved, you’re welcome to attend presentations to support your fellow Dragons and learn about a wide variety of topics.
Faculty Benefits
The Student Showcase is a great opportunity for students to grow through applied, experiential learning. Two ways to encourage students to get involved are:
- Mentoring student research and suggesting they present at the conference
- Asking students to attend and learn from other students by making it part of your spring semester syllabus
