The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Minnesota State University Moorhead is designed to prepare registered nurses for advanced roles in healthcare leadership, education, and practice. The program supports multiple pathways providing flexibility for nurses at different stages of their careers. Building upon foundational nursing competencies, the MSN program equips graduates with the specialized knowledge and leadership skills necessary to advance nursing practice, collaborate in clinical and educational settings, and contribute to research and evidence-based care. Students may choose from two emphasis areas: Nurse Leader (NL) and Nurse Educator (NED). Additionally, graduate certificates in Nursing Leadership, Nursing Education, and other specialty areas are available for those seeking advanced knowledge without committing to a full master's degree.
