Jay Cournia is an Assistant Professor in the Construction Management department at Minnesota State University Moorhead. As an educator at MSUM, teaching Quality Management, Pre-Construction, Project Administration, Sustainability, Documents and Specifications, and Planning & Scheduling. Prior to that he worked in residential construction for over 6 years and commercial construction for 6 years as a project manager and estimator for local contractors in the Fargo Moorhead Area. Jay was also an adjunct instructor for 3 years at NDSCS teaching Estimating and Commercial Methods and Materials. Jay Graduated in 2010 with an Associates degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in 2010. In 2012 he graduated with a B.S. degree in Operations Management from MSUM. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Project Management from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND.
