Courses & Curriculum in Cybercrime
Cybercrime majors study the criminal justice system with a focus on cybersecurity and the rise of digital crime. The program offers a broad understanding of criminal just and its historical and contemporary social contexts. Students also complete hands-on online investigations using actual cold cases.
Cybercrime combines criminal justice and cybersecurity, the major develops legal, forensic, and technical skills needed to investigate and prevent digital threats. Cybercrime coursework covers digital forensics, network security, and cyber law, supported by a strong liberal studies foundation that builds critical-thinking skills. Graduates often pursue careers as cybercrime investigators, intelligence analysts, and forensic specialists.

To earn the BA in Cybercrime, students must meet university requirements, complete all program requirements, and finish 120 credits, including the Liberal Arts and Sciences Curriculum.

Internships (1-12 credits)
An internship is not required for the major. Internships are important as networking opportunities for those seeking employment. These are usually completed in the Junior or Senior year and may be taken in any academic term. Most students intern during the summer. Internship credits do not apply toward the Cybercrime major requirement total of 52 credits.
