Mathematics
MSU Moorhead’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics is designed to prepare you for graduate school or disciplines that require a strong background in mathematics. You’ll form a strong theoretical foundation on all facets of mathematics and be prepared to pursue a wide variety of career paths.
You’ll be encouraged to explore your mathematical interests outside of the classroom through research. By doing so, you’ll have the opportunity to prove previously unexplored theorems, and will receive the utmost support from your professors.
Your faculty are here for you. They’re teaching your classes, advising student organizations, and collaborating on research with you. Because of small class sizes, you’ll develop more meaningful professional relationships with your professors, which will be a great help as you begin applying for jobs after graduation.
Learning Opportunities
As a Mathematics major at MSUM, you’ll gain valuable real-world experience outside of the classroom when you join organizations, attend conferences, and conduct research with peers and professors.
