You’ll get an in-depth knowledge of mathematics while learning effective teaching techniques to help you become the best mathematics teacher you can be.
With upper-level math classes capped at 30 students each, you’ll get the individual attention you deserve as you delve into complicated aspects of the field.
You’ll spend time observing, assisting and teaching in local classrooms for more than 100 hours prior to your student teaching experience, so you’ll be exceptionally prepared to lead your own classroom.
Knowledgeable professors who have earned their Ph.D.’s teach all mathematics classes. The Mathematics Education faculty members all have elementary or secondary classroom teaching experience.
Several experiential learning experiences can help expand your skills during your time at MSUM. Whether you’re interested in social gatherings with your peers or attending conferences with your professors, the opportunities are yours for the taking.
